The project is dedicated to enhancing safety along the prestigious A52 - North Ring Road and A51 - East Ring Road highways.
Our efforts are focused on a thorough analysis of the available spaces along the entire section, with special attention to the lateral margins. The main objective is to ensure that safety barriers meet the highest standards imposed by current regulations and comply with the strict requirements of the "Technical Instructions for the Design, Type Approval and Use of Safety Road Barriers and Technical Requirements for Testing for Type Approval" (Ministerial Decree No. 223 of 18/2/1992, as amended).
The process of defining the minimum classes of barriers adopted in the project is based on the specifications of Ministerial Decree 2367/2004, taking into account the functional class of the road, the traffic class and the purpose of the protections. Our attention is not limited only to the adaptation of safety devices, but extends to the detailed analysis of the installation methods. This approach considers the multiple boundary conditions along the entire route, ensuring an optimal level of safety in every context.
The project includes distinct structural interventions focused on two main categories:
- Protection of critical points, such as piers/rocks of Overpasses or Tunnels.
- Adaptation of curbs of Viaducts/Overpasses for installation of new safety barriers.
