The underground crossing project covers the following railway lines:
RFI Monza - Calolziocorte line at mileage 1+751.09 (2-track line);
RFI Monza - Molteno line at mileage 1+749.79 (1-track line);
planned at the level crossing of via Osculati in the municipality of Monza (MB).
The crossing involves the district heating network of the company Varese Risorse Spa (Acsm-Agam Spa group based in Monza).
A DN 1200 mm steel pipeline (serving as a protection pipe) was planned to be installed, within which the two DN 250 steel service pipes (delivery pipeline and return pipeline of the district heating network) will later be laid.
The thrust shaft will be constructed on the east side of the railway. The advance will, therefore, be from east to west.
