The Como Bypass runs for about 9 km between the Municipalities of Como and Grandate (CO), most of which (about 6 km) is in natural or artificial tunnels. In the remaining sections, viaducts, underpasses, overpasses have been built to allow compatibility and connection with existing infrastructures (railways, A9 highway, local and provincial roads).
The intervention in detail involves the construction of the following road sections:

  • Como ring road, including between the interconnection with the A9 in the municipality of Grandate and the "Acquanegra" interchange on the border between the municipality of Como and the municipality of Casnate con Bernate, for a total of about 6 km; the section includes several overpasses, including railways, a section of artificial tunnel and a section of natural tunnel.
  • Related work TG-CO-03, which runs for about 2.6 km between the interconnection with the A9 of the Como bypass and SP No. 24 in Appiano in the municipality of Villa Guardia;
  • Related work TG-CO-04, which is spread over two sections; the northern section (1828m approx.) starts from the new Como ring road at the Acquanegra interchange and arrives in the Municipality of Como on the traffic circle formed by Via Canturina and Via dei Mulini;
  • the southern section (about 900m) connecting the Acquanegra junction with Via Garibaldi - Via Adamello in the municipality of Casnate con Bernate.
